Botvin LifeSkills training
Deep Launching is excited to announce it is a Certified Trainer to facilitate Botvin LifeSkills Training to high schoolers. Botvin LifeSkills Training is a research-validated substance abuse prevention program proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse, and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviors. Lifeskill Training
Deep Launching can skillfully provide wrap around services that will assist those in transitional and program housing. These services will help individuals obtain sustainable independent living skills for their day-to-day living or personal development. Our offerings include:

• Light housekeeping and cooking (Disabled and seniors)
• Money Management Services (Exclusively for seniors and the disabled
• Creation, execution of activities that will combat social isolation for seniors

Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, causing many diseases and affecting the health of smokers in general.
African American communities have a high number of exterior and interior point-of-sale advertising for tobacco products.
Smokers are more likely than nonsmokers to develop heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and other lung diseases.
Deep Launching is certified by the American Lung Association to conduct Freedom From Smoking Clinics. This 8-week program is highly effective and used by employers, hospitals, health plans and other organizations to help individuals lead a smoke-free life.

e-Cigarette / Juuling / Vaping Awareness
According to Center for Disease Control and Prevention, e-cigarettes are the most commonly used tobacco product among U.S. middle and high school students today. The e-cigarette device, also known as JUUL, resemble a USB drive and is increasing in popularity. A single JUUL pod contains as much nicotine as a pack of 20 regular cigarettes. JUUL is a battery-powered device that heats a nicotine liquid to produce an aerosol that is inhaled. E-cigarettes or JUULING is harmful to the lungs and has other negative health effects.
Deep Launching is forging forward to educate as many middle and high schoolers as possible about the risks and dangers of e-cigarettes. We successfully educated 3,670 teens!
